Enhance the longevity of your chiminea with our Oval-Shaped Terra Cotta Burn-Tray Insert. Made of durable terra cotta material, this tray is designed to take the brunt of the heat and protect the bottom and walls of your chiminea from direct contact with fire. Simply measure the opening of your chiminea at the widest part and choose the largest size that fits inside.
Our Burn-Tray insert will keep your fire centered and avoid burning against the walls and sides of your chiminea, ensuring that your chiminea will last for years. And when the tray does wear down over time, it can easily be replaced.
Unlike other options, we do not recommend using sand or gravel inside your chiminea, especially in most regions. Instead, we recommend using red lava rock as an alternative, although cleaning the ashes out may be trickier. To ensure the best results, please follow the same burning instructions as a clay chiminea, starting with a slow, small fire.
